Family fun day!

We love the Children's Museum!!! Today was "family fun day". We instituted a once a month family fun day- today was the first official one. We went to the Children's Museum and had a blast! We were there all day, and Ezra thought he was in heaven! Adriel loved looking at all the art and watching the kids play- it was just such a fun day! One of the many great things about the museum is that there are three stations (that look like theatre dressing rooms, basically) where the kids can paint their own faces with crayon looking face paints (CEF style), and Ezra enjoyed painting his face while looking in the mirror- I was actually really impressed with how coordinated he was while doing something brand new!

Our little artist

Today was art day! We drew pictures with chalk... Ezra made some beautiful pictures, then he decided to make his face look good, too!

Ezras words for today...

"'Hello,' the hippopotamus said in a screamy voice."

"White pencils doesn't work- blue pencils do... I suggest you use red."

What a character our boy is!

Sunday, February 6

Adriel went to her first bridal shower yesterday... and she loved having so many women to smile at and be cute for.

Ezra loves books! Daddy and Ezra had some "man-time" yesterday while the girls were away.

Dora is sick...

Today was pre-school day. Ezra has started going to a co-op pre-school on Fridays. There are eight two-year olds and eight moms. We take turns teaching and the rest of the moms get two hours without their kid each week. The kids all go to sunday-school together as well, so they see each other pretty regularly.

One of the little girls in the pre-school is named Dora, and Ezra has taken quite a liking to her. She is full of spunk, as cute as can be, and well... I think quite a handfull. On Ezras first day of pre-school, the two of them locked themselves in Dora's bedroom with someone else's backpack- they stuffed their mouths with what they could of the poor little girls snack before Doras mom and I were able to get into the room... the other little girl never had a clue.

Last week Ezra told me that when he grows up Dora is going to be his wife. He walked around for the rest of the morning talking about marrying Dora, and told me that they would have a wedding! He's only two years old- what is he going to be like when he's sixteen?

All that was to say that Dora was home sick today and Ezra didn't get to see her. Poor thing.

Work....

According to Ezra, "Daddys work is typing, Mommys work is washing dishes."
Ezras work is playing, and he takes this very seriously. In this picture, all of the animals and dinosaurs are having a picnic... what a creative boy we have!

I'm home tonight with the kids

Well, I'm home tonight with a fussy boy- no home community for me tonight. Ezra has really been testing boundaries lately (I hear this is normal for his age, but still I just keep praying for wisdom).

Adriel on the other hand, seems to be feeling a little better than she was. She just loves it when it is Ezra's naptime- then she gets mommy all to herself. Today we took a few pictures- she was giving me such big smiles, but the trick is to catch them.

Some pictures for today

Our happy girl!

Even though we have all been feeling a little sick, Ezra still finds time to play with his trains! (And he loved having Daddy home to play with him!)

Welcome...

Hello, and welcome to the brand-spankin' new Brewster Family blog! This blog is meant mainly to please grandmothers and the like, so if you don't know us or don't like us, this will not be very interesting to you- sorry.

In the future, there will be links for a photo-gallery (that's what the grandmas really want), but they will not be up for a while yet.
